this one’s unfortunately kind of a drag so far why hasn’t anyone died yet

poirot is lowkey irritating in this one 😭

only agatha christie can save me from this months long slump

save me from this slump ms bardugo 😭🙏

I missed my family :( and this is gorgeous!!!!

just now realizing jamie is ambiguously arab (?) which I did consider when I first saw his last name. though what confirmed it for me was him being called a terrorist… am I a bad person? 💀

ok it’s an enjoyable read but it doesn’t need to be this long

welcome back succession

I will not be held responsible for my actions if I have to read the word israel/israeli one more time in an american author’s book this year. what the fuck is israeli couscous. the NORTH AFRICAN dish?????

I don’t know how I feel about this book. I really don’t feel anything towards these characters they’re all pretty one dimensional

this is so insta-lovey..

idk if it’s just me but the timeline of this book is all over the place. the tv show had much better pacing.

“The painting was by a friend of their mother’s, an Israeli artist”

oh go to hell. fuck israel and mellors for normalizing its existence.

I’m really not enjoying this series anymore

some of these povs are straight up insufferable. like if I have to read the nickname “love” one more time I’m going to throw up. these people have known each other for less than 24 hours mind you.

one thing about jlb, she writes like the only emotion a character can feel is INTENSE bold in all caps and italics. she doesn't let a single moment breathe so the high stakes (wrt emotion and plot) she thinks she's building end up just being unbelievably cringe. everything in moderation jennifer!!! like I love these characters but let me invest without shoving intensity down my throat for breakfast lunch and dinner

you can’t release a book right before my finals holly!!!

this book is so SAD
