So much of her anger had spawned from Takeru treating her like a doll, but she hadn’t been much better. She had treated him like a human-shaped mass of ice without considering that there might be entirely human reasons that ice had formed.

😭💔 I didn't expect this at all. At least not in the middle of the book.

Lol. I got so into the story I actually forgot I’d left my food half-cooked.

It’s a tough read at first because the author doesn’t really explain the world, the system, or all the made-up terms. You just have to keep reading until it starts to make sense. But weirdly, that’s what makes it so gripping – it feels like you’ve just been dropped into a world that already exists.
