Currently listening to the audiobook. I like the unique magic system and so far the story is so intriguing that I didn't realize that I was already 3.5 hours in.

Still dragging myself through this, i thought we were close to finding the book but alas we are not. If this story gets drug out into more than 1 book, im not continuing the series.

I'm 30% in and it's so slow. I'm hoping it picks up, otherwise I'm DNfing

I keep waiting for her dad to show up and ruin everything, or for her to realize that's she loves Arris abs one of the other girls steals her key and forces her to stay a swan for the rest of the competition

It is taking me a minute to wrap my mind about being being trees and children just popping from the ground and fathers being boulders. It's nonsensical.

Girl, why have you not gone to the Nastys yet? Like they are part of your house, go kill the queen and have an army for yourself. Also just freaking pick someone already or be the new queen yourself or create a counsel. I'm over all the court politics and bolstering.

So far there has been so much court politics that I'm starting to lose interest.

I love when the 2nd book picks up right where the 1st book left off.

Oh I have an awful feeling the girl in the brothel is Kenna's friend, Anna.

I'm almost finished with chapter 7. I thunk the House of Blood used to be the Mortals house and then they were wiped out. They keep referencing trials that the MFC has to go through and I think it's the same as the Fae trials and if she wins she becomes Princess of House of Blood.

Also, I think the Dagger she found is a house of Blood artifact

I'm 40% in and there has inky been 1 trial which was just the journey to the school. And why is this kid so obsessed with the MFC like get over it, there are 44 other people you are competing against, just move on.

I'm glad I saved Grim for last. His story is so much better then Oros.

I did start to get into Oros POV after his father died and his brother became king but once we got to parts with Isla and everything that happened in Lightlark I'm getting bored.

20% into Oros story. Idk if it's just because I don't really like Oro or if he's just a whiney spoiled baby who is mad daddy didn't give him attention.
