Book club pic for the month, let’s see what this one is about then. Already had it on my want to read list so at the very least I was interested in the synopsis at one point or another

Omg it’s actually scary how fast the page count goes up reading this. Being so used to books that are like 100-200 pages and here I am reading that in a couple of days. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how much I love the characters and the world in this series. Ugh stormlight archive is just so good!!!!!

200 pages since starting to read this again I’m hitting flow state! Ughhhhh Sanderson’s books are just so good. I haven’t even realised I’ve read so much, reads so well and so easily

This is actually so refreshing with how easy it is to read compared to some of my recent reads. Thing are said? The plot actually slowly moves along? Whaaaaaaaattttt??

Omg! Reading can be enjoyable??? Fuck miss Jean Brodie, genuinely almost ruined all of my reading momentum. Back reading the goat though 🙏🙏🙏🙏

15 mins before bookclub and im nowhere near done, cant wait to sit there and slander this book like there is no tomorrow. Honestly so shit and boring. So much shit is mentioned that doesn’t move the narrative forward and the gossip is quite frankly dry as shit

What an incredibly dull read…like it’s actually just so fucking boring. 56 pages of pure nothing. I’m starting to think the person recommending this for bookclub just wanted to torture everyone

Back to my favourite palette cleanser series. Easy to read bullshit

You know… I’m really starting to question how creative of a person I am. Perhaps I’m comparing myself a little too much to the likes of Robert who are just born to create. I guess I am jealous of his gift to just create art as Patti describes it. Who wouldn’t want the gift and drive to come up with these ideas and create gorgeous art.

Perhaps I’ll take some inspiration and try to create a little more.

Kept this one hidden from Goodreads for a bit but here I am revealing my performative self.

But seriously talking, what a book so far! The bizarre world of an artist is so infatuating. I’m also in love with the moments of closeness between Patti and Robert.

Never would I have thought I would be loving this as much as I am, so glad I’ve ended growing into someone who would!

Idk why they decided to translate the name to ‘Greg’s diary’ instead of the original but oh well.

Reading a Russian edition of this that I can’t find on here so this will have to do and I’ll just have to suffer with the wrong cover for now :/

I’m not sure if stuff is going over my head or that nothing is really happening? Well like things are going down but a deeper meaning is either not there or I’m missing it for now. I shall see what the rest of the book has to say

Just so Norwegian, I’m finding it really amusing.

Other than that it’s quite fascinating how the two girls are so drawn to each other but choose to keep a sort of distance. It’s a strange dynamic based on mutual respect.

Really am wondering if this book will take a more surreal turn since it’s already given little hints of that.

A lot of the poems are starting to get quite lengthy and going over my head :/ not really evoking much of a feeling from me most of the time since I’m just missing the point altogether. Still finding a few interesting ones; I really should’ve marked them to know which ones I like (oops).

Been quite a cosy read so far. In a way gets me really excited to be a father and do these little things with my kids around Christmas time. The absolute blessing of having a loving family.

In some ways making me reconsider how i view my own life really. Nothing like major but just seeing things from a slightly different perspective which is ultimately what you want from a book!

I’m enjoying Jordan’s poetry a fair bit more than the poets before, she has some lovely digestible poetry.

While she does run laps around my knowledge of vocabulary from time to time at the very least there’s stuff that I understand and enjoy!

Felt like reading more Claire Keegan, I really enjoyed that shortish story I read so why not read some more?!

Also a nice seasonal read for the upcoming winter so should be quite cosy and fun. Just need to get some decent fiction down my neck to get the ball rolling again 🤕
