I’m starting to get really fascinated by these colourful characters. The wonders which I’ve taken for granted.

During a tough time it’s nice to have a little place to escape to, a place of wonder, uncertainty and family.

I’m also enjoying the fantastical elements! These odd little characters who live for 200 years or come back from the dead!

That chapter 5 was so good. Of course I enjoyed the chapter about young love but idk just felt nice to have something I could actually relate to in some sense. The lady who forgets how to speak is interesting but I have no clue how that feels, now a heart ache that’s a sensation known to all.

Interested to see how they’re gonna start interacting because so far they’re just side characters to each other.

Procrastinating reading stuff I’d actually like to read :P

Let’s give this a try, so far the language can be quite complex and it’s been a bit hard to read compared to more conversational stuff I’ve been enjoying lately.

Never in my life did I think I’d be reading the world parabola outside of the classroom but I guess here we are. Enjoying the curves of life.

Omg my hatred for the British state is growing when I thought it couldn’t get much worse. Useless bastards. How have they fucked the world so bad 😭😭😭 it’s actually unbelievable.

Oh I know I’m in for some bullshit with this, gonna get me so heated. I’m basically up to 1918 and I’m already wondering wtf is happening and how is this okay???

Onto the last part of the book… shit is going down

I’m actually scared of how worse the situation can get, so far there’s been 4 books of the protagonists just losing ground. Maybe in the second half of the series they’ll start catching Ws

I swear if Brandon Sanderson ever dares to do anything harmful to Dabbid in these books I’m gonna personally get involved.

Repeat after me, ‘WE ALL LOVE DABBID’. That chapter genuinely made me tear up, the poor soul and he’s just done something so heroic and important.

Less than 300 pages left and I can see how it’s about to spiral into the best bit of the book!!! I love so many of these characters!!!!!

Getting very very close to the juicy ending of the book now. Taravangian honestly breaks my heart as a character sometimes, just reminds of me flowers for algernon.

Anyways onto part 4 now! Hopefully our guys finally catch a W and stop being shafted all the time 😭😭

Yuh you already know what it is, still sick as shit. The way you just get so many fun genre mixes in these books is so addicting! Currently very enjoying the section I’m on now, characters figuring out how to do shit without their usual powers is always so fun. Journey before destination always and forever 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Completely forgot what the book was about since the last time I picked it up a week ago so was a fairly confusing read of the second chapter. I was like why are they so bothered about skin colour and then read the synopsis again and was like duh I’m an idiot 😭😭😭😭 funky reading something that’s like trail of thought, pretty new to me so kinda getting used to the quirks of the prose.

Book club pic for the month, let’s see what this one is about then. Already had it on my want to read list so at the very least I was interested in the synopsis at one point or another

Omg it’s actually scary how fast the page count goes up reading this. Being so used to books that are like 100-200 pages and here I am reading that in a couple of days. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how much I love the characters and the world in this series. Ugh stormlight archive is just so good!!!!!

15 mins before bookclub and im nowhere near done, cant wait to sit there and slander this book like there is no tomorrow. Honestly so shit and boring. So much shit is mentioned that doesn’t move the narrative forward and the gossip is quite frankly dry as shit

What an incredibly dull read…like it’s actually just so fucking boring. 56 pages of pure nothing. I’m starting to think the person recommending this for bookclub just wanted to torture everyone

You know… I’m really starting to question how creative of a person I am. Perhaps I’m comparing myself a little too much to the likes of Robert who are just born to create. I guess I am jealous of his gift to just create art as Patti describes it. Who wouldn’t want the gift and drive to come up with these ideas and create gorgeous art.

Perhaps I’ll take some inspiration and try to create a little more.

But seriously talking, what a book so far! The bizarre world of an artist is so infatuating. I’m also in love with the moments of closeness between Patti and Robert.

Never would I have thought I would be loving this as much as I am, so glad I’ve ended growing into someone who would!
