Interesting read. The language is rather technical and would appeal mostly to people with a background in architecture. The beginning chapters are rather enlightening and present an interesting history of Western influence on Goa.

The book takes an interesting approach to explore the life of St. Alphonsa, India's first woman saint. It uses the foundation of the beatitudes to expose the spirituality of St. Alphonsa. While this is a hagiography more than a biography, it contains numerous references to various biographies of the saint and connections to the life of Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Therese of Child Jesus.

A very interesting theological interpretation of Christianity based on the Dead Sea Scrolls by one of the foremost scholars. The author prefers his conclusions to Orthodox teachings and appears to believe that coherence of interpretation demands more credibility than tradition and magisterium. While it is an interesting book, one must read with caution and Discernment.

Interesting critiques against Christianity, Christian Morality and the Church as an institution. Definitely worth reading but with the caveat that there are a lot of exaggerations, misquotes of facts and pure hearsay mixed in with authentic research. A person of faith would do well to discuss what one reads with someone who will be able to shed light offer context and correct errors.

Offers insight into the mind of one of India's renowned writers. Enables you to see the world from the eyes of Bond. The haiku were pathetic but tge other poems were pleasant. There were a few which were excellent.
