Make it stop! [I can’t put this book down I absolutely must see how it ends]

Oh she’s CRAZY crazy.

This is somehow both the opposite and the sister book to R.F Kuang’s “Yellowface,” and it is exactly as uncomfortable and I’d like to crawl out of my skin reading it. But I’m having an excellent time.

It’s cute and silly—every other line is an action though and it’s difficult not to imagine everyone moving like those weird Ai videos lol.

This is SO wacky it’s like if Wes Anderson and Tim Burton made up all these characters. I love it.

Wow everyone SUCKS! Who invited these people! I’m reading through my fingers this is all so embarrassing for everyone involved.

Similar to Devil Wears Prada, in her quest to avoid stereotypes, Weisberger does a full 180 and smashes a random hodge-podge of ethnicities/sexualities/personalities together into people that have no consistency whatsoever. So far, at least. It’s a little difficult to follow.

It is, unfortunately, so slow. I don’t want to DNF but I have so many other things to read and I don’t know that this is worth my time 😔 bummer because Hail Mary was so good. Idk. I’ll think about it.

I don’t want it to end 😭 definitely in my top 10 books. This better have a satisfying resolution in one way or another. And they BETTER NOT mess up this movie

Incredible, amazing, the best.

This is so Gilmore Girls coded and I can’t put it down. So weird, so silly. Much second-hand embarrassment. Many laughs. I’m enjoying it so far.

Did not realize it is almost 700 pages long!

Are you considering reading this book? GREAT! Take all of your expectations and throw them violently down a garbage disposal and then maybe reconsider 🤠 I am this 🤏🏼 close to it being a DNF. Only reason I’m staying is for scares (there are none so far because everything is SO PREDICTABLE). Help me. I hate it here.

It’s taking everything in me not to give up on this book (I need to see what happens but I can assume it’ll be VERY PREDICTABLE JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE). I’ve taken to writing sarcastic comments on every page. I will persevere but maybe also send help.

Main character is said to be 38. Main character has the maturity of a 12 year old. The concept is intriguing but it’s written very poorly.

IT’S SO WEIRD. Begins in second person but like in a good way??? Obscure and I’m here for it. For now, at least.

The book is satisfactorily creepy, but looks like they’re introducing a romance and I am not here for that.

Doesn’t seem consistent with the game timeline (?) confused.

Horrifyingly good. Can’t put it down. WANT to put it down. Can’t.
