Mages, evil kings, sorcerers .... young Reya was not prepared to return home one day to find her house burned to the ground - with her father inside it. But rule is when the Bookweaver dies, the next of kin has his powers transferred onto them. Reya has to deal with grief and uncontrollable powers all while protecting her best friend as they run from an evil king who wants to use Reya's powers for himself.

Watched the Bridges movie/documentary at the same time. Read along with the movie, several of the pages. This book is a classic and anyone interested in acting, theater, or drama can benefit from reading( and / or watching the movie/documentary.

Includes recipes as well. Great book.

Also listening to the audiobook at the same time! And watched the Hallmark movie based on the book. Movie was OK. It was fun to see the characters and setting brought to life.
