I started reading this last night and during the scene when the sun is setting and Ossian Sweet is preparing to defend his house my palms were actually sweating and I felt real fear coursing through my body. Interesting point but I feel like I'm reading the same sentence over and over again. Everything she's said in the first 3 chapters could have been summed up in a paragraph or less
