Not loving a book that is this gay feels like a hate crime

Finished the first story and have no words. Have read nothing like this before. How am I laughing at this loser but also lowkey have some empathy for him?

I really wanna read Lena dunham‘s famesick but I am way too invested in this to put it down

Here I am once again trying to understand the Backman hype, after only recently finishing My Friends I’ve decided to give him one more chance to win me over. Only 11 chapters in and this is already so much better

the chapters so far did not catch me as much (or the chapter by Vera Blossom I actually found offensive and disregarding the pain of so many sex workers), however the chapter Union by DL Alvarez was a genuinely enjoyable read, let‘s see how I feel about the other stories

reading nora ephron and now this is probably one of the biggest genre jumps I have done in a while

take this book away from me, it makes me giggle in public.
But please look at that and tell me you wouldn‘t:
„I was fascinated by the story. I couldn‘t believe that anyone would be so sexually driven that he might actually skip lunch - and after an auction! I think of myself as a healthy person with a strong sex drive, but it‘s never occurred to me to forgo meals.“
