Edith's past is slowly revealed. How she became an orphan, and what she truly owns. As she uncovers the truth of her past while getting pursued by Lord Percy, she figures out that she is the true owner of the Hamilton Estate. This is her inheritance. Reaching the end she lives happily with her inheritance, and her new love, Lord Percy.

Edith's past is still being remembered. It is now known her family riches have been stolen. The discovery that Edith is actually a noble lady is major.

Edith's past comes to light. It is come to know that she is actually from a rich Italian family but was abandoned after both her parents died. She became an orphan and lady Hamilton found her.

Percy is upset that he has not seen Edith in a while. Her voice was why he fell for her, yet he still has not fully confessed. Ida tries to take Edith's sickness to her advantage and aims to replace Edith. She does everything that Edith does for Percy, but Percy simply ignores her and thinks of Edith.

Introduced to Dell is a 16-year-old girl, who is fighting with her father over a doll. She made the doll, and his father for some reason is upset by it (probably religious reasons), so he takes the doll from her in a drunken rage and burns it. Her brother snitched on her for the first doll, but for the rest he tells her, that her father will figure out soon about her collection

Edith's routine is shown. How her life has been an endless circle of taking care of a person. Percy feels even more pity for her because this isn't how someone should live.

Edith is taking care of an older woman, in the Hamilton household. The woman states that she wants her son to be there as she dies. But Edith cannot grant her wish and comforts her until her death arrives.

Percy asks Edith if she wants to find a new home. He states that he sees the way she is being treated and wishes better for her. She says that the people she is with currently have welcomed her, even when she was at her lowest, so she would rather stay with them.

Edith confronts Ida, asking her why she dislikes her. Ida tells her it's because she is poor, and yet still more loved than her, and taking her happiness (Percy) away. Percy then takes Edith on a boat ride, because he sees that she's sad. The rest of the group here's their duet, and are in love with the harmony of their voices.

There is a ball, and all the nobles attend. Amy asks Percy if he could dance with Edith because she has been mistreated by many at these balls. She states that Percy dancing with her, it will give her the dignity she deserves, and that would make her heart happy. The scene switches to Lady Hamilitaions perspective, she is stating how soon Edith will be free from following people and will be in a nurturing home.

Edith woke up from her sleep, due to her injury. Lord Percy and Amy aim to make her as bright as she was before, but they fail to do so for while. After they succeed to get her happy and rightful look back, Lady Ida tries to bring her down.

Lady Ida is jealous that Edith is getting the attention, that she craves from Lord Percy. It is described that each day Lord Percy falls more in love with her, as she is in her slumber. Lady Ida tries to dismiss Edith, and make her seem as low class because someone is complimenting her beauty; Amy defends Edith and takes her in as her sister and protector.

Lord Percy comes back with Edith in one of his arms and holds her shawl in another. This angers Ida, and she decided when she's skectching not to add Edith in the sketch. Everyone but Ida sees Edith as a low-born still. Amy ends up falling and needs help getting back up, so Edith out of everyone saves her. This gives her more credablity.

Lord Percy is infatuated with Miss Adelon (Edith), and Lady Ida sees this, and constantly drags for Lord Pecy's attention. He realizes that a noble like Lady Ida is jealous of Miss Adelon, because of how she attracts people to her. Lord Percy leaves in the middle of the walk with Lady Ida to go find MIss Adelon, and helps her carry the flowers. He pities how simple she lives, and how she is ok with that lifestyle.

Lord Percy hears Edith's beautiful voice and falls in love with it. He loves the arts, but Lady Ida gets jealous of Edith. She wonders why a "low-born" is better than her and captured the attention of Lord Percy. Lady Ida's opportunities to get closer to Lord Percy fail due to Edith's stunning musical talent, and this aggravates her.

We are introduced to Lady Hamilton, and she is the mother of both Amy and Arthur. To continue on what happened in the first chapter, Lord Percy is welcomed in. Amy wants Edith to play the harp, and her mother will not allow this until Arthur says something. She tells Amy to not get close to the "low-born".

The story begins by introducing a few characters (Lord Percy, Amy, Arthur, and a group of Amy's friends). The ladies are talking about the group of men that will be visiting them, and talk about who is the most attractive. As they all debate this situation, Amy says Arthur is the most attractive to her. She finds him attractive because he is different than the resy=t. The men finally arrive and they go to this...

Mustafa continues to tell his journey of getting educated. he states that the man that helped him start his path in education, could help him no further because the staff was limited in education. He saw Mustafa's potential and asked him if he would like to Cairo to continue his path. Mustafa agrees to go to Cairo to progress with his education.

Mustafa tells his childhood story. He states how these men from foreign land came to their little town, and asked him if he wanted to go to school. He said yes, and this was the very beginning of his educative path. He says that his relationship with his mother is bad, simply because she formed an unknown resentment. It was clear to him; however, she would never admit the fact.

Mustafa and the narrator are invited to drink. Majoub is pressuring Mustafa to drink. This makes the narrator slowly realize how everyone was giving false opinions on Mustafa, because he is a more educated man.

Introduction of a new character Majoub, this is the narrator's childhood friend. Every Friday everyone goes to the mosque to pray, except Mustafa and he is already seen as different because he is from another village. This makes people look down upon him and whenever the narrator asks about him, only negative things are said. The narrator after a few months of knowing Mustafa, believes he's a decent guy and my be

The narrator explains why he went overseas. He states that he always had a sense of adventure, and that's why he study overseas. He says however, he was terribly afraid that his grandfather was going to die in his absence, and this was one of the main reasons why he didn't want to travel.

The narrator comes back to his home country (somewhere in North Africa) from his study abroad in Europe. He sees his father praying and a new man in the house. His father tells him that, that is Mustafa; although, he was not a local he was working on the farm, so his father let him move in. They then ask the narrator about Europe.

At the end of the book, it seems like Molly has not learned anything from the beginning. She still overly thinks about the future, and about who will leave her life, especially when it comes to her twin Cassie. Molly gets everything that she wants in the end and has a great time at the wedding with her boyfriend and family, but I don't think she changed at all.

It's almost the day of her parent's wedding, and all of Molly's family is coming. Her favorite cousin, Abby, is coming over, and Abby doesn't know that Molly has a boyfriend. For the rest of the chapter, her friends tease her about how she has a boyfriend, while they prepare for the wedding.

The past two chapters have just been Molly has just been gushing over Reid. Reaching the end of chapter 27 Molly and her sister Cassie are alone. They talk about how even though they are both in relationships, they should not lose each other, just for a relationship.

In the past couple of chapters both Reid and Molly ( mainly Molly) have been rejecting their feelings for each other. Making their relationship slowly fail. Abby makes Molly admit that she likes Reid, and basically saves their relationship. Reid and Molly officially confess how they feel about eachother.
