The more times I manually update how many pages I’ve read = the harder it is to get through the book. I’m enjoying this but it’s slow going

I’m hoooked

So far so good. As I read this I can’t help but think that we humans are such complicated mammals who so often don’t mean what we say nor do we say what we mean. We bring generations of experiences, biases, prejudices, addictions, illusions, traumas, hopes and dreams to conversations that sometimes make us act in ways that aren’t authentic to who we are, even though we all want the same thing: connection.
