we're sort of getting somewhere

i feel like you have to suspend disbelief i order to enjoy this and even then, it's not that enjoyable. like why are you guys acting like you're twelve, and why are you still together if you hate each other?

their situation feels like that bird in a cage with only two bars. you guys know you can leave, right?

i don't think this is the book for me, to be honest. i didn't really look at the description, but i wish i did before i decided to put this on hold because i don't really vibe with either of the two main characters

these characters are really annoying, i can't lie. i get that they're supposed to be "enemies," but being enemies while being engaged is crazy

this is really good but as someone who isn't a fantasy reader, it's a lot

the side characters have more compelling stories than the main characters

the writing in this book is really... juvenile. it really feels like it's out of a bad fan fiction, which is weird because i don't remember her other book being this icky
