If what I’m listening to is true, this book is life changing and perspective shattering . I’m wondering how I can verify it , I am always sceptical of anything that is this monumental . Thoughts ?

Good introduction so far. Not a big fan of the style of writing in particular , it’s just ‘fine’ . I think this will end up being just a , ‘yeah , that’s a book I read that lead me to read better ones’ than one of the stand out books on the topic

Haven’t been able to continue listening to this for a while because it just feels draining , it’s far more about what you can do as a support for someone with autism than for the person who actually has autism . I want practical tips on how to cope with it not how others could hypothetically help me cope . If anyone has a recommendation for this ?

I usually don’t like this genre but honestly ? Perfectly fine so far . I’m not gagging to find out more but I’m pleasantly suprised ?

The writing is good so far and the story is interesting , I don’t know if it’s just my attention span right now but I do feel it’s not drawing me in at the moment . Having a hard time getting myself to pick it up. It’s probably a me issue though kind of going through it right now

Ugh like let her have her garden ?? Author is making this husband wonderfully loathsome !

I feel upset , the fictional teen gets better care than I ever did
Why don’t I read something nice for once

Is anybody out there ?

One of the pictures in this book is labelled a wren when it’s a dunnock , bothers me

Listening on audible , maybe that is my mistake. I’m really not enjoying it , I loved it at the very start and the concept sounds so up my alley , but the characters aren’t compelling me at all and it feels like it just goes on and on . Might be an audio issue in that it would be better read physically ? People adore this I really want to

Undercooked

It’s such nonsense 😂 it’s fascinating to find out specifically where language etc comes from, so many words we use are sewn into these tales
But my god is it complete nonsense , it’s pretty hard to stay interested for me (not someone with a broader interest in mythology)
