Bookclub happens to be onto Mother Night now - Fitting, after I’ve recently listened to Slapstick and Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut. Hooked on this guy

Finished the x industry essay… oh I felt a bit sick after that one. Onto the lobster festival… also feeling sick. Both very interesting but very much uncovering harsh realities of these gluttonous industries.

Heavy read but great convo happening in bookclub

Reading for bookclub… Fuck, this is the scariest book ever. Thinking often about Atwood’s quote about how nothing in this book hasn’t already happened.

For a book about a women plague and violence against their helpless bodies, I am unsure that Stephen King & his son should I have wrote this together. Correction, they shouldn’t have wrote this. It’s also just a shitty book. On top of the questionable concept, it’s got a shit plot, braindead women characters, and a foreseeable ending. Not impressed by this bs. Feels like father and son bonding over their NC fetish.
