Emily is not my favorite main character but this book reminds me of a grown up version of that movie from the 1999 “Faeries” w/ Kate Winslet. Although I’m not a fan of the main character, not all is lost because as I’m preparing to plunder into all of the Faerie books soon, I felt like this has been the PERFECT introduction to this type of fantasy

This book was tagged on my Libby account as popular and available now - I thought the cover was eerily pretty and the premise was cool. I’m not half-way through and I love every second of this book! The gentrification hits a little too close to home which is maybe why this feels so realistic.
