Emily is not my favorite main character but this book reminds me of a grown up version of that movie from the 1999 “Faeries” w/ Kate Winslet. Although I’m not a fan of the main character, not all is lost because as I’m preparing to plunder into all of the Faerie books soon, I felt like this has been the PERFECT introduction to this type of fantasy

Okay final description for this update, this book is like The Faeries movie and the SpiderWick books had a kid, and now that kid is all grown up
