Some of the short stories are confusing as to, hm... why the narrator is so annoying, I guess. Some of them repeat similar ideas, calling other people shallow in complex language, but if they're so unbearable then why would you surround yourself with them?.. Some of these characters are sick. Maybe all of them are, maybe that's the point. I see references to capitalist criticisms, a touch of Marxism

And then she would destroy me" Riiight. Don't want to be Kantian here but, cheating is wrong in itself no? F*cking your married boss wasn't a great idea, morally speaking, y'know ethics and all? F*ck this. I bet my kitten paws Andrew is a pscyho and it'll be revealed later

I'm tired of this. Millie believes whatever she hears from anyone and everyone, girl got zero critical thinking skills? The entire story with the attic and lock and Nina being sent to an asylum whatever, all very "the yellow wallpaper" of the author... Don't tell me you'll say, like in yellow wallpaper, husband locked Nina up in the attic room or something? I'm bored :'D

chapter 19... why is this book that popular? I thought it's mystery and picked it up on christmas sale but... so far it feels like erotic whatever, a tension between a housemaid in despair and a housewife and a handsome husband, and implied secrets and crazy here and there... what's the big deal, is there a plot twist? I hope there's a plot twist that will shock me otherwise it's a waste of time :/

This book is terrifying and so far I enjoy it as a vegan who's familiar with ethical questions around meat-eating

This book was recommended by a classmate, and was on my mind for a while, then recently my friends gifted it to me on my birthday 🎂🎉 So today I started reading my birthday gift, as they thought this book is something I would enjoy... Let's see if they thought right ~

I feel a little bit of uh, empathy for Todd or... Not sure what it is I feel, on one hand I understand he seems like a problematic individual (so far) but on the other hand, I feel like there's some sense in what he feels? I'm lost and this book so far gets me question my own values, lovely

It's clear and easy to read even though I'm jumping around with this and some other books I need to read for my classes, I don't feel overwhelmed and it's fun so far 😺📑
