Predictable, but I had fun reading it anyway. So what in the end, was it all real? The visitors are what, entities from other dimensions? They appear as confused as the characters... I don't know. Maybe Macy died and that figure she saw in a plastic bag is her own self? Maybe the beings are real, cosmic entities who play around? It's not giving me a lot to try to piece up like a puzzle, predictable but empty feeling

"Dad pasting the Mullins Mowing logo to the side of his truck…" so Macy kept talking a few times about her dad's truck and this logo that she made as a child and so on. Don't tell me this is a clue, a sort of foreshadowing that her dad will appear as a visitor? Please. Spare me the drama, oh god :'D

“Stupid fucking idiot.” The dull ache barely registered. I hit myself again, harder: “Stupid FUCKING idiot.” Again: “STUPID FUCKING IDIOT.” I kept hitting myself until my fist turned limp." Uhh Macy, drop the Gordon Ramsay act honey. Dial the idiot sandwich down :D

“Macy, please,” he said. “I live in a place where someone like you failed and… If the sun turns red, you—” :o

what, another dimension? entities, a hive mind? The sun turns red?? Aaaah what is all this :o

somewhere before, 10-15 pages ago I don't know, I saw this: “Miss Bamford said I’d look prettier with it longer, said people wouldn’t think I was a boy all the time. So I buzzed it off just to see the stupid face on her face." and... Stupid FACE on her FACE? Huh? English is a second language to me so excuse me but...

Anyway so far the book is building Macy as a character, her struggles etc, forming a connection...
