nick feeling sel’s overwhelming rage, giving up his time in hiding to go find him, and then suddenly feeling the absence of the rage when sel went unconscious. sel and nick risking their lives to try to enter the ancient dream world to bring back bree. bree giving up her whole life and going with erebus willingly just to save sel and reunite him with his mother. try not to say soulmates 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

bree asking sel if he’s jealous of her since he used to be in love with nick 😭😭 bree be serious for a second

this book is at its best when the crazy dynamics between bree/sel, bree/nick and sel/nick are explored all at one time. you can’t tell me that they’re not a poly couple

the first chapter is actually so perfectly written

first moment of the book where a scene actually felt tense and difficult and moving and it happened 394 pages into the book. 🫩
on a related and better note, i decided to look up the cast to see who’s playing stratt and it’s fucking sandra hüller. guys oh my god she’s going to eat this scene up get ready for that oscar ma’am

i have very quickly assumed there’s going to be a love triangle between bree nick and sel but the problem is that i already love nick. but he’s been introduced too quickly as the main love interest so i’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop

i could never survive in a secret society like in this book bc bree has already skipped one class and hasn’t done one piece of homework while already on academic probation and it’s stressing me out
