FINALLY getting around to reading this bc i committed library fraud and got a library card at my parents new address and now the wait times for super popular books are short 😌

anyway i love the premise of this book. i was explaining it to jake and said “it’s like the Silence in Doctor Who” and he said “who???” (he has seen every Silence episode but genuinely forgot) and that just made me giggle iykyk

i predicted the ending like a quarter of the way through…

not bad but i was never surprised so 🤷‍♀️

so his wife was cheating on him with her husband right?

i’m guessing he’s the one who murdered him or smth and he’s like making sure alicia’s not gonna spill?

and where is his wife rn… she dead too?

i think i checked this out bc i thought it was about consumption like… tuberculosis…

actually idk why i checked this out or who recommended it to me but im not hating it 😌 feels less history-y and more memoir-y tho i was looking for history
