Hmm... not my final review. But, was the ending rushed? I was expecting 1 more chapter from Idris but there was nothing. Why do I feel cheated? I need more!

No explanation of what happened the masters, or Idris...
He's just been left to live in the unreal for eternity?
They just went their separate ways and all was ok.
I duno. I feel short changed. I've really enjoyed this series but then ending...

This is my first Dean Koontz book.
Gees this guy seriously knows how to embellish, elaborately describing even the most basic things, like dirt, or a spider 🕷🕸lol.
If I've been skim reading on one of those, it's like, hang on, what was that! Re-read! 😂😂

My frustration levels with this book have grown as I read. But it's finally getting into action so, sticking with it.

I've really enjoyed Lucy's other books. Gave this one a punt.
Starts out pretty quick and the predictability has had me going, hmm.
The direction of the book has been a bit too easy to guess.
Guess I had higher hopes? Not that it's a bad book.

Man, there is just SO MUCH to unpack about this series. SO. DAM. MUCH.

It's been a LONG while since I've read any raunchy books.
So far, a few words spring to mind on this one: predictable, unrealistic and cheesy as hell.
Yet I'm still reading it 🤦‍♀️🤭😆

It makes me want eye roll, a lot.

Think I can get into the book. One gripe though. Why the constant changing how the story is delivered?
It's like some in dialog someone is telling a story about Haven, the next, Haven is telling the story. Back and forth in this way. I'm sure it'll pan out for a reason. Just finding it a bit annoying so far
