Ok well screw my last note, the first sentence I just read was his old man didn't die

I'm so happy his dad died and he didn't have to kill him. I thought the mom had died at first and that made me sad. I think the author did that on purpose

Oh my gosh forget my last note. ITS HIM HE'S ALIVE. The girl is the one who must have died.

You ever get to the point where you don't want to keep reading because you don't want to read the sad parts but you want to know how it ends

I thought this was funny:
The monster told the artist when he was a kid that his art would be worth millions one day. When the artist told his friend he busted the doors open and snatched the drawing and said "NOT IF ITS WORTH MILLIONS." it's funny when you read it even though it doesn't sound that funny here. Page 270 hardcover edition

I kind of like the way the story isn't really about the present, it's more so about the telling of a past story. It's like those episodes where in reality only a little bit of time passes in the present and if you only look at that it's really only telling about an hour or so of time but it tells a lot about the past.

Found out that no it was actually the story of the boys

The three friends story is good and I like those parts but the present isn't good. Two unbearable people.

Now: why are we introducing a new character a girl? I liked the original three boys best.

So far, I think I'll hate this book. I'm very sad about this. I have been wanting to read this book forever cuz I thought it would be like the handmaid's tale and was really good but eh. But to be fair, I didn't like the handmaids tale when I first started reading it and now I love it. We shall see.
