thanatos is great, yes, but why are the chapters so short? always starting off at their meeting? also the random detail that she's been having good dreams about him when there's not been one single mention or description of it in the past chapters? i can't rly connect to lazarus bc of this bc all i'm reading about is encounters between her and thanatos.

god, i'm LOVING this. i love famine, and i love ana. she's the most likeable character i've read about in this series. i'm so relieved.

i'm gonna pretend war doesn't exist and that after i read pestilence, i'm now reading famine. THIS BOOK IS SM DIFFERENT, and looks already so good.

the main character seems more likeable than sara and miriam altogether. also... the gifts for the horseman? finally? i'm so sick and tired of seeing the people in the book hating him and wanting to kill him. it's great to see a change in the narrative.

idk if i like it as much as i liked the first book. siiighhhh, just the main character's inner turmoil and war (haha) against the horseman feels repetitive like oh yeah i hate you for killing my people and then she still ends up with him. i wonder if the third book goes along the same lines.

also i feel zeeerrrroooooooo chemistry between her and war. and *spoiler alert* the kiss felt so random??? like huh
