Read it.

I don’t usually update as I read, but this book has me going ‘wth is going on’ every other chapter. I’m so intrigued

I mean… the book was fine. I kept reading because I couldn’t figure out how it was going to end. I’m not surprised by the ending but I also didn’t see it coming

The entire book are letters to and from the main character. You learn a lot about her life through each letter and I found myself wanting so much more for her at the end. It was a very sweet book.

I got this in my library summer book box. I would not have picked this myself and was not a fan of it overall. Too many themes and you didn’t even find out if Emily and Sam got together or who received the proposal on the show

This is a heartbreaking story about a marriage ending and how the wife dealt with the divorce and was able to move on. The husbands audacity is infuriating. It’s well written and I 100% recommend it

Such powerful stories of slavery that all connect. They should make you feel uncomfortable, but worth the read. Love how they all interconnected at the end.

Not the Kate Quinn books I’m used to, but it’s a must read for book lovers!

Simply put- read this book. I had to sit and think for a while after I finished it; the ending was just … well wild and made sense all at the same time. So many things going on in the book. It was a good read

A long but incredible read. The books discusses slavery, SA, colorism, drug addiction, and family dynamics. It’s jumps back and forth between the past and the present, following the main character Ailey as she grows up and begins to learn about her ancestors. It was well written and I really enjoyed reading it

If you like history and reading how women helped in the war, this is for you. I learned quite a bit about black propaganda

This book gives all the feels… really enjoyed it! Be prepared to have your heart torn out during the last 40 pages
