Solid Lackey title so far. I like her portrayal of welcoming and cosmopolitan city life, and the supportive communities the characters find.

Interesting, if a bit dated in terminology but that happens. One thing that jumps out is how much gatekeeping cis doctors do, and how much they pathologize their trans patients. Some things, it seems, haven't changed much at all.

Immensely satisfying. The novel is basically fanficftion of the Arkham Horror board game, but I wasn't looking for anything else. Highly recommend.

This book is great and you need to read it.

Everybody's havin' sexy times and I like it.

It's nice to see the assembled crew of characters the protagonist has convinced to work together. There's a real feeling of camaraderie and diverse talents.

Love Vieve, love Soap, and pretty sure it's Dimity, not Monique, that Sophronia needs to keep an eye on.

The pieces begin to fall into place.

The story grow interesting as we know Heden is being used but not for what purpose. We have also experience our first Real Weird Shit. I also enjoy the fact that a life of being an adventurer has left Heden with PTSD.

There's a lot of implied history in these pages. Heden clearly has a past as an adventurer, and has done at least one terrible thing, but that doesn't explain why the Dwarf seemed angry with him.
