My time has come

I’m going to love this. It’s already beautiful. His comments on van Gogh’s most famous self-portrait highlighting, brutally, his public shame and humiliation were convicting.

“It’s hard to render an honest self-portrait if we want to conceal what is unattractive and hide what’s broken. We hide what needs redemption, and everything redeemed by Christ becomes beautiful.”

Day 3 without power and the library is shut down for the foreseeable future, so time to re read a classic.
