So Far for 2026:

I’m very happy. I’ve surpassed my reading goal and of the books I’ve read, only 20 were from previously read authors. Most have been from NEW TO ME authors!!! This makes me so so happy. Yes, there may have been more than 1 book by the same new author but out of 490 books (-minus the 20 authors I’ve read before), I’d say that I’ve gained at least 100 new authors, at least.

My heart breaks for Frey so much! This is an excellent follow up series to the Uglies series.

Frey is something! But Rafi… I just can’t imagine being the “spare” to the heir especially when it’s life and death!

I also had brief moments of dejavú with this book. It was so familiar but this is the first time I’ve read it. Very good!

I wasn’t expecting this series to be an emotional train wreck. It’s sooooo good and I’m going to be mad when I can’t get my hands on Wisteria right away!!

Have you noticed how some authors just have the uncanny, natural ability to realistically and accurately describe strong emotions. So realistically that you become immersed in the story and feel like you’re the one actually experiencing the tragedies, traumas and celebrations? I get this from a few authors and they will forever be on my “Must Read” list.

I swear for every one book I get to take off of my TBR, at least 6 more get added. 😅🤦🏻‍♀️
