I can already tell I’m going to like this book a lot

Sorry but I CANNOT STAND when non black authors don’t bother describing black characters, “shanice, a black woman-“ is that it? Whilst random background characters we never see again gets “a woman about Rosie’s age with curly dark hair and a tanned complexion-“ and about 5 chapters later we find out she has braids from a line about her playing with them. You couldn’t describe her complexion or braids??

Read about 4 books between this. Picked it back up since I don’t have any other books I feel like reading that aren’t on my 26 books for 2026 list.
