Sometimes, though, I think about the future. What will I be doing years from now? I don’t have the same kind of burning desire like I used to when all I wanted was to escape to Tokyo, and I don’t feel excited any more about achieving a goal. That all fizzled away, like froth.

When she finally reached the front and her dad handed her off, it felt like the final piece of me was being pressed into place, as if I were finally whole. ✨✨

I needed to tell her that she was too good for me and that I didn’t know how I’d gotten so lucky and I already missed her in advance for every minute of our lives when she wouldn’t be with me.♥️✨

Perfect wasn’t perfect enough. Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning – they weren’t right. Words that had been used before wouldn’t fucking work to describe her in this moment.🥹♥️

I knew the universe was right.
Nothing would ever be as perfect for me as she was.

Yeah, that was a loaded question. I grabbed a Gatorade out of the fridge and absolutely knew the answer.

His gaze not only saw through me, but it wrapped itself around me like a pair of strong arms.
His gaze was more than familiar.
His gaze was home.🥹♥️
His gaze was backyard bonfires and late-night phone calls and cross-country road trips that led to hotel rooms with soft sheets and cool, heavy comforters.

I still didn’t want to do it, but I couldn’t deny Liz what she wanted.
I was a weak, weak man.
I looked into the eyes that I saw every night when I closed my own and said, “Okay, I’ll do it.”

That note was on a piece of paper that came from Liz’s notebook (she loved notebooks and usually had no less than six going at once), was folded by Liz’s fingers (the same ones that had danced magic over piano keys while I begged for more), and was handed off by Liz’s grip (that I could still feel on my shoulders) to be sent to me.

He is falling in love with her from the tenth floor 🥹♥️
