what bruce springsteen song is this?!?!

ada has been telling me to read this book for ages and i can’t believe it’s taken me sooo long. i am in LOVE

it warms my heart to know that PAMELA DES BARRES and gram were besties. i love pamela so much, she is such a wild woman free spirit. i REALLY need to read her book now. also flying burrito brothers is her favorite band of ALL TIME?!?!

unfortunately it’s that point in reading the book about the man who you idolize where you want to slap him across the face.

i think that jessica hundley must have been a little in love with gram because WOW this book is filled with poetry and romance. i was tearing up in the part where gram became a father and held little polly for the first time vowing to be a better dad than his stepfather. it hurts so bad because you already know how the story ends :(

COWBOY TAAAAKE ME AWAY

the first feminist text i’ve read to REALLY dive into the parallels between the patriarchy and the dairy industry. this may just become essential haley bee reading.

finished the “matter” section of this book and i am already so in love with the prose. it is written with an incredibly unique voice. i am a little reminded of my dear virginia woolf.

reading this on the way to stay in the redwood forestsss?!?! ready to have a very spiritual experience with the trees.

hmmmm…

reading slump is in full swing sadly. but i’ve been filling my time with many other wonderful things. i wanted to give this one a reread because i want to annotate it!!!! i am having a wonderful time so far yet again, oh how i adore robin’s writing. this book has inspired me so much!

jami told me this is a lesbian south asian inspired fantasy OF COURSE IM STARTING IT IMMEDIATELY.

i’ve pretty much annotated every page of this book so far
