Okay I’m out. This was pretty promising until we got to the point where he meets some random woman he thinks is hot, and then proceeds to slap her for mourning her husband too long after he gets her life story out of her in about three minutes. When he said you don’t belong chained to a coffin full of bones, you belong to every man you turns to admire you I was done. I’ll find something else to read.

The chapter on Chronicles is very useful. Going to have to go over it again if I run a game with VtM.

Moving towards endgame now. Much more clandestine than the shows made it out to be.

Was that an Easter Egg reference to Wakanda and Vibranium? I’m going to assume that it was.

Some fantastic call backs and the intertwining with actual history is superb.

Honestly this is more interesting than I expected. I was certainly not expecting these characters and the couple of cameos I’ve seen in a book about Kahn but the narrative is woven together quite well so far.

These books are so full of pain and empathy and the best and worst of humanity. Sometimes hard to read but always worth it.

So far feeling better about this one.

Lucas is being fairly terrible in this one. I don’t remember him being this much of an ass.

Glad to be reading these again.
