lambert reminds me a lot of plath in that both of them are startlingly plain when it comes to describing terrible things

this book is really horrific but very good. definitely not the kind of book you can "enjoy" but still

this book is rly difficult 2 read because of the abuse i keep having 2 take breaks but i really like the way lambert writes

ummmmmm really, really stunningly beautiful. tayo's world comes to life so clearly through silko's prose. the colour yellow is recurring - the cat, the sun, etc. - and brings warmth to the story. the visuals are so clear and so stunning. silko perfectly captures the complex relationship between indigenous soliders and white war + the relationship between tayo and tradition/family/trauma/etc

i fell of the reading wagon b/c of work but then i forced myself to read today. i really like alice

very big csa warning for any of u who are interested in reading it!! but good so far!!
