ummmmmm really, really stunningly beautiful. tayo's world comes to life so clearly through silko's prose. the colour yellow is recurring - the cat, the sun, etc. - and brings warmth to the story. the visuals are so clear and so stunning. silko perfectly captures the complex relationship between indigenous soliders and white war + the relationship between tayo and tradition/family/trauma/etc
