Very well written and interesting! The three-person perspective was a change from the last book and I definitely struggled with that and all the character names (though I could have kept refering to the front guide on characters). Maybe not a book I should have read at the bedside.

FINALLY! A Patricia Cornwell novel with a worthy ending!!!! I love all the hints to Richmond in her novels that keep me reading but some of her other novels had endings that were in the last 2 pages. This one had a thoughtout and well-described outcome.

Ziwe gets it. Hilarious and upfront, this book is a great combo of a reality check that keeps you reading.

I had to leave this behind this week (too heavy to bring with me) but I am nearing the halfway mark. I am truly hoping that the hospital becomes a reality, but that seems further each time Ali is involved...

Isabel Bowman is finished with Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the Grand Canyon
What a great way to tell this story. Yes, these were incredible women, but they repeatedly focused their efforts (throughout rafting an "unraftable" river) on their botanical identifications. I still don't know how they lasted when they were carrying the men, being told they would never make it, and having scathing news reports writing lies.

Was hoping to learn more from this, but it seems like this book would be better for a city or suburban dweller...

A book that really draws you in! I am still new to fantasy so I think certain aspects were not for me...but I am intrigued and loved the writing in this one. Ready to try book 2!

What an AMAZING way to get the severity of climate change and capitalism for our future. Having a nonbinary perspective in this book realm has been needed!!!!

Someone needs to explain to me the hype. At first, the book shared the history of Spinolaga from a personal perspective. Once it moves off of the island though, it lost me. Just another love story until they bring it back to the island.

WOW! I am always down for a Preston and Child and this one was well done. They are a great team and pulled together an interesting mystery with real and fictitious characters. And based around autopsy and a mining town in CO! My favorite kind of easy read.

Such a great book! I thought it was simply about the history of the AT, but it explored how trails began and how different cultures have historically used trails. I LOVED learning about the ways of forming indigenous trails.

I am so glad that this book was recommended to me! This turtle rescue works alongside the one I visited in undergrad but is close to my current town! While the story telling is a bit all over, the stories are quite unique and hopeful.

Overall a decent read. The mystery is sidelinned often with drama, but the redeeming factor is the engagement with the deaf community. I seriously would have stopped reading without that piece.
