I have read some Anita Blake and some Merry Gentry at a friend's urging, but they didn't really hook me, but this book hooked me in the first chapter. The main character just seems to have such depth in him and that interests me a lot. I am a third of the way through the book and I hope the other two-thirds are as enthralling as the first third.

I don't think I will finish this series as I was not particularly impressed with it after reading the first book.

I was excited when I started reading this book. A new take on the Psyche-Cupid story, but alas I cannot bear to continue reading it.

Wahaha! I have been remiss in updating my Goodreads once again. So many of my "to read" have actually already been read. Will set aside time to update tomorrow.

I think I will stop here at the end of the first book, at least for now.

I am debating on whether or not I should continue reading this book... it's really depressing considering what happened the previous book and what's happening in the opening chapters.

I set my 2018 reading challenge at 100 books even though I know I would probably exceed that by a significant margin.
