Pretty terrible so far, just a bunch of self-flattery.

I skimmed large chunks of it, but the underlying thesis of if (that foreign policy has slowly then quickly grown to be concentrated in the Pentagon) mostly holds up well.

Why does this guy think it’s some sort of crime to move to a state with lower taxes?

Hard to take you seriously when, in a book about the CIA, you spell the Deputy Director’s name wrong.

Using “unsurmountable” instead of “insurmountable” and “insure” instead of “ensure” is so stupid. Strong start.

This comes highly recommended, and so far has been phenomenal. It’s probably the best record of the prelude to the Iraq war that I’ve read.

Unclear why “war on terror” always appears in quotations. At this point in the book I have a 1% understanding of this phenomenon.
