“ People are too precious about what it means to be human. We’re just people. We’re gross little people who shit and fart and fuck. Who eat too much dairy and search for meaning in our iPhones and carry at least one undiagnosed mental illness. But that all feels like too much to tell her, so I just nod my head …. ”

Okay on a side note though; why has the author taken on an almost a personal beef with Libby, one of the main characters… it honestly feels like the actual dislike is between Olivie and Libby rather than Nico and Libby 😐

The more I read Olivie Blake, the more I want to live with this guy … his writing just does it for me.. first with “alone with you in the ether”, which is the best romance i’ve ever read, and now this … an incredible mix of talent in writing, character analysis, magic and world building … I genuinely want this book to turn out to be a five star read 🤞🤞

“And that was the difference between me and the black-haired girl - her face answered all its own questions.”
Have you ever asked yourself, “who would I like to have writing my biography?”. Well, I always ask myself this question. And the answer up to this point has been Ahmet Altan, but I would also like to read Emma Cline’s take on my life, i mean dang, she writes like this ….

This book makes me feel strangely rebellious. Reading the pages of this book, shows me the power held by the mind of a reader. It makes me feel like I’m loudly rebelling in my solitude. A loud disobedience in my silence. As if I’m a ghost being chased; as material as a human yet as untouchable as a gust of wind… dang, it even made my words flow like this, Huxley must have used crack instead of ink
