I’m a woman and I work in the cybersecurity field. And one of the many things I do is user awareness for current threats and technologies and how they can affect our security. One of those threats is deepfakes. And even though I live and breathe this field I was far from realizing how much more prevailing deepfakes are when it comes to sexual assault than corporate impersonation and internal threats. 💔

Not sure that reading this book while I’m already stressed about work and the current world events is going to do any wonders for my mental health but here we are.

O mistério da vida dói-nos e apavora-nos de muitos modos. Umas vezes vem sobre nós como um fantasma sem forma, e a alma treme com o pior dos medos — o da incarnação disforme do não-ser. Outras vezes está atrás de nós, visível só quando não nos voltamos para ver, e é a verdade toda no seu horror profundíssimo de que a não conheceremos nunca.
