The protagonist has to be the absolute STUPIDEST person ever. Claudia is a ding dong. I swear.

This book has just made me very very sick.

It’s immersion. These kids today can’t live without tech for a day. I grew up without tech. So, this isn’t so hard. I also learned French by immersion.

If you have black characters, maybe you want to have black audio book actors. You are fooling no one.

I mean it’s good but strange. I’m kinda getting annoyed and I feel like I’ve read/seen this trope before

I really enjoyed the last chapter. Especially the end. It’s about damn time. I feel like a lot of books by us have this type of scenario. And that’s a good thing.

Layered horror and lots of Spanglish. Kinda like a Simpsons episode that starts out about A and ends up being about D.

This guy on a podcast read 2/3 of it and didn’t finish it. I’m just ugh.

I don’t think all the racial epithets are necessary. They offend me more than the story.

It’s the book I needed to read, not that I wanted. I can relate to a lot of elements of it.

The stories aren’t super scary. I think she could push the boundaries more.

The audio book is so good! The book is actually really good, better than I thought! Lots of research and extensive stories BUT the guy reading Jim Jones sounds like he’s crying or very very old.

Approaching DNF status. This is not going the way I thought it would.

Now it’s getting really good.

It feels long and I keep getting lost in the side stories-wanting equally more of them AND the main story.
