Finding it very easy to read and I’m quite captivated.

A few moment where I think, why do we need that (like the N word… you can illustrate racism without the slur) and some weird prose concerned sexual topics. Now has me thinking, is it weird for an adult author, who is writing YA, to discuss youth in a sexual way esp. when crass?

35% reading update: whilst this is the furthest I’ve gotten in a book in a long while, really experiencing some mood reader energy right now, I can’t help but feel like it’s a story I’ve heard before; we hunt the flame? It has taken 250 pages for me to feel like the story is really starting to pick up. In a classic move by fantasy authors, there is a lot of of background information.
