We could observe how Charlie has regressed ever since that certain death that happened, if I were to believe in my boyfriend's theory. The regression has helped in activating his emotions and has had him more in touch with his inner child. At the same time, he was slowly losing his intellect, I could observe how this happens when we become indulgent and whenever we fail to train our minds to become smart.

I've reached a certain death to be mulled over with fresh pieces of questions in my head. I've been told about the symbolism of Algernon and the book told about what occurred to him and how Charlie values him, now what's gonna happen next?

I would like to share that I've had pauses reading the book, but a food for thought from the novel that I've been having is the intellectual responsibility we all have for ourselves and how education has become a privilege, being a part of our "certain problems" as being educated, as being one of those who could read. We all have this. Another is how intellect pars with the emotional intelligence.

At the moment, I'm hooked by it because the very first month of the year makes us feel we would want to establish their own race with themselves... Through Charlie, we can see how it's all about patience and application of the things we learn.

I love the pacing of the third chapter as it goes on, it reminds me of Cornelia Funke's The Thief Lord, a book review we had in grade school. There's some sort of mystery among people with masks and Venetians. The part that there's some sort of game being played, winning and losing in gambling makes you invested.

Already at the Third Chapter, Zero Winter, returning to Henri's point-of-view. The half of the book was made to be the exposition, setting recurring ground situation.

"You felt no reality, no knife of sorrow cut your intestines to bits. Only a weariness, a longing for a shoulder to sleep on, a pair of arms to curl up in."

So far one of the most striking lines to beat me to my knees.
