Needs to go back to the library but I will check out again; note to self, I am on part III.

I don't know what it is exactly about Japanese literature and representations of bullying, but they are so fucking nightmarish!

Oh my god, am I really going to finish this a hater? The plotting is coming together a little at the VERY end but I have soooo many gripes that I did not expect to have.

On the one hand, when I sit down to read this book the pages roll on by, and that is a great feeling coming out of a reading slump. On the other hand, I have so many mixed feelings about pacing and characterization and the writing. The writing is really good! Except when I can feel the seams of the plot between every event.

I have no memory of requesting this ARC but suddenly it appeared on my shelf and now I have to read it...!

Starting back up with this one after it got set aside for a couple months. Super short, readable chapters make this one a good lunch break read. Despite the short chapters there is nice literary depth here. I'm excited to keep going with it.

62% done with this book and the emails to the neuropysch eval places have already been sent lol
