Okay, theae few lines gave me goosebumps. 40 hours in and I finally had a reaction! 😅

Amazingly, things are actually picking up now.

Halfway through this monstrum and things are *finally* happening.

Stop! Describing! Everbody's! Clothes! He's listing what everyone at a Christmas dinner at a restaurant is wearing, even people from the next table over, for absolutely no reason. Sigh.

He tapped the folder with a long finger. I snorted loudly and got a strange look from Annika Lorentzon.
“Erik, it doesn’t exactly do you any good to be arrogant in this situation,” she said softly.
"When someone lies blatantly," I smiled angrily.

Wtf literally nothing about this makes any sense.

Her forehead was wrinkled and sad.

....what? Her forehead was sad??

I can't believe how unrealistic all of these characters are. The dialogue is horrible. None of their conversations make any sense, their body language is completely off, their facial expressions described almost completely contradictory to what is being said. I can't understand how anyone can write so badly. I'm just rage-reading it by now.

It's exhausting how unrealistic everyone is acting. There's only so far I can suspend my disbelief.

This is so weirdly written. Oddly stiff, disjointed, and staccato. No one speaks like actual human beings. None of their reactions make much sense. Maybe it's the case of this being the writer couple's first joint publication, but so far I don't get the hype at all.

For a book with very early foreshadowing, this is loooooong and sadly not very engaging.

Reading the first two books in the series, since I skipped them and started with the third. The quality is unchanged, it's just as good as the latter books in the series.

He sat up and grabbed her, – ‘He could no longer fight against her thundering, roaring desire. And when they finally came, his brain was filled with a white light and a burning, almost unspeakable desire for a cold Coke.’

It's so rare that sex scenes are well written, let alone funny, but this one had me burst out laughing XD
