Fuddggge this is a strong start. I’m not an audiobook person, but this one is worthwhile.

This starts off with such a bang of explicit depictions. I was immediately sickened by page 2. Krakauer does not shy away from the hard stuff. I would not recommend anyone start off with this book before 9:00AM. 💔

I’m giving this a genuine try, but the struggle is real. Monique’s dad called her by a different name for years (to the point where she constantly corrected him) and then chose to go by that name in his honor when he dies? 🤨 Is this four-paragraph detail going to come back as important later?

Also, I dislike biographies, so trudging a fake one is taking more effort than normal. I just need to see the hype
