Genuinely at a loss for words... This book picked up and took a direction I'm not entirely sure I saw coming. Like, I knew what the point of the book was and what the overarching plotline was, but I didn't expect it to manifest the way it did.

Okay, I'm not sure how to process this book... This book is an incredibly uncomfortable read, especially as someone who works in eduction and plans to work as a teacher in the near future. So far I like the writing and think it is effective for this kind of storytelling but HOLY SHIT MAN - MANUAL BREATHING LEVEL 100. Hella uncomfortable - Mr. Korgy is a freak loser, and nothing overtly intimate has even happened yet.

Currently unimpressed. I think that this is an important story to tell as it mirrors a lot of racial ideologies that are held today while also tackling the topic of treatment of animals in commercial farming. However, where I am right now, the book feels like its dragging on - then again I am not the biggest fan of books that capitalize on and ride with the everyday mundaneness of the main characters life.
