Absolute good and absolute evil don't exist. We should live in accordance with strict ethical principles.

If God wants to destroy evil but can't - He isn't omnipotent.
If He can but doesn't want to - He isn't benevolent.
If He neither can nor wants to - He is neither omnipotent nor benevolent.
But if He both can and wants to — then how does evil exist?

If God created everything, then why did He create evil as well?

It's really not as bad as others keep saying. It's not all about Oliver and Elio as CMBYN but still reflects well their lives, thoughts and feeling 15-20 years after Italy. Also, it's really not as shocking as CMBYN is regarding weird symbolic scenes like the peach one, toilet one, etc.

I feel so sorry for Michael. There's no way anything will come of their relationship. Elio has feelings for him solely because their relationship reminds him of Oliver, while Michael seems to have real feelings for Elio. That's quite sad considering the whole thing with his father's musical score.

I find it weird when writers deliberately choose to create two characters with a 10+ age gap and write a romantic story about them.
Samuel must be somewhere between 45-50 here and Miranda is around Elio's age, so around 30, there's literally no need for them to be this many years apart.
I'm not gonna skip the book just 'cause of that, it might still be good regardless, I just think that's quite an odd choice...

▪️I didn't like this one at all, nothing particularly interesting happened throughout the story. The ending was supposed to be a shocking twist, but it really wasn't. There was literally no reason for that - killing the guy, yes, but what's supposed to be the purpose of cooking him? That wouldn't do sh*t regarding their curse.

This is hands down the coolest graphic novel I've seen

Damn, what happened to Vinales was AWFUL!! It's unbelievable how he managed to survive being impaled by an iron fence.

This book is pure pedophilia mixed with misogyny...

So far it's painfully boring, nothing much is happening. Lee just keeps meeting/staring at random people and then leaving while being weirdly obsessed with a younger (and most likely straight) guy who clearly isn't interested.

Why was introduction this long? o_o

I really like how well-sourced the books is but at the same Carter goes into so much detail about everyone's background and names so many people that it's hard to stay fully focused. The main Stonewall story is just starting though, so I'm hoping it gets more interesting from here.
