Costco, ikea, those give me the same feelings. It all seems very random. Maybe.

Twin peaks 2017, idk that’s all I can think of now. Just unbridled american shit, scientists, gambling, fast food, auto bots, small town, containment, it’s hot dog stuff- 4th of July schlock. It’s hot outside, distant cheers and screams from an amusement park, people carrying ice cream cones, crowds, nuclear family, Saturday morning cartoons. I think the moon must be made of cheese on those days.

Still though, it is giving me those juicy simpsons/under the dome Americana feelings which I tend to really like for some reason. Museums, moon landings, the possibilities are endless. I really can’t put my finger on why I like this type of stuff so much, now that I’m thinking about it lemme list off the things that give me that vibe that I can remember. Think I would start the book off with these scientist type characters because idk it’s almost like the cat is out of the bag too early. The scientists are explaining something which they haven’t even discovered themselves yet.

Following run of the mill normal esque people who live normal lives and know next to nothing about what is actually going on. Same thing in the simpsons movie. In this book the first people we are introduced to are scientists and astronauts- people who would know the most, and yet I feel as though it is written a little bit unrealistically in that way.
