I've read it three times so far. Love this book!

A remarkable pulpy literary style. The main character still possesses so much versatility even though she’s been captured by cruel extremists.

The classic Dickens elements are there, and it's much more experimental than anything else I've read by him, but I still couldn't get into this one, even though it seriously impressed at times.

I prefer the films honestly. Kipling must have been writing in another time when the benefits of a compassionate social safety net had never been conceived by man. The "Toomai of the Elephants" story is loathsome. How many times do these books mention killing? And they aren't particularly well written.
