One chapter will be the most engaging thing you’ve read in years, the next will be a slog like trudging through a swamp in a downpour. We’ve skipped to about 20(?) different POVs in the first couple hundred pages and it switches year every chapter with little indication what order the years are actually in. Sisyphean challenge, but I suppose Thats the whole point.
